Welcome to Transylvania Tango Fest website !

My name is Doina Enache and I'm the host of Argentine Tango Festivals in Transylvania, Brasov City.

The Argentine Tango school I have opened at Brasov in May, 2009 - Studio Tango Nada Mas – aims to develop, support and promote the Romanian Argentine Tango community irrespective of the dancers' affiliation to various schools in the country, and any national or international Tango event is set up for all tango dancers.

Therefore, the purpose of these events is to combine the valuable opportunity to learn with the fun to participate, and the website is dedicated to inform and promote the Romanian Argentine tango community to local and international tango dancers.

Transylvania Tango Fest 2010

Transylvania Tango Fest 2010

The first Argentine Tango Festival in Transylvania -"Dracula's Tango Celebration"- (2008) took place in Brasov, at the Museum of Art between 29th and 31st of August. The guest teachers of the 2008 edition were two dear friends, Murat Erdemsel and Ronen Khayat, my master teachers from New York, who taught me the art of this beautiful dance: Argentine Tango. The Festival’s Theme was: Love.

Starting the second edition (2009), the new name of the Festival is Transylvania Tango Fest. The event took place between 17th and 19th of July, in Brasov City, and the guest teachers were Ozhan Araz & Serkan Gokcesu (www.ozhanserkan.com) – Turkey and Murat & Michelle Erdemsel – USA (www.muratandmichelle.com).

The Festival's theme - transcending historical boundaries - combined the 1880's tango, when the tango couples were exclusively made up of two men, with the sophisticated tango later on years, when the man-women couple highlighted the sensuality of the dance. Thus, the attraction points of this edition were, for the first time in Romania, at Brasov: Guerilla Milonga and the male tango dancers Ozhan Araz and Serkan Gokcesu.

          Tango is love...
Either if you'd like to share, express, resist, avoid, fall into or define love, we want you to do it with all your heart, ON and OFF the dance floor...

          Tango is passion... and pain...
Once you have started dancing Tango, it will get you in his grip... Take every step as if it is your last...

          Tango is play... and adventure...
This is the supreme feeling of dancing Tango - to hear music and feel free to play on the music with your partner...

          Tango is connection...
Tango's capacity to connect two people in a moment of total engagement transcends both historical and culture boundaries...

          Friendly,
          Doina
